VIRBAC Junior Neutered Hpm cat food (3 kg)
Food for young sterilized cats
With the need to cover all the needs of young kittens from neutering to 12 months of age, HPM foods are manufactured. A moderately energy-dense diet and an L-carnitine supplement limit the risk of overweight that can occur as a result of neutering. The high protein content contributes to a adequate muscle development.
The high level of animal protein stimulates water intake , increases urine volume, and helps stabilize pH for a healthy urinary system. Supplementing with artichoke leaves, a source of cynarin, helps dilute urine. Supplemental chitosan, a digestive phosphorus chelating agent, helps limit urinary phosphorus excretion and prevents the formation of struvite crystals.
A low fat content and a slightly increased fiber content ensure that the energy density of the diet is appropriate for the end of growth after sterilization.
The very low starch content is due to the lack of maturity of the digestive amylase activity. Lactobacilli, or probiotics, stimulate the growth of a protective acidogenic intestinal flora. Promotes strong local immunity . Montmorillonite protects the digestive mucosa , helps to limit inflammatory and infectious processes and ensures the normal consistency and odor of feces. Soluble fibers, or prebiotics, contribute to the normal growth of the digestive flora and the integrity of the colonic mucosa.
High protein levels and a balance of fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6 contribute to the development of epidermal barrier functions and hair formation.
Supplementation with ascorbic acid trisodium monophosphate helps limit the formation of dental plaque and tartar and contributes to good oral and dental health from a very early age.
Low starch content helps ensure stable blood glucose levels .
