Royal Canin Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie (12 Kg)

• Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie allows an effective dissolution of struvite stones in the dog.


• The low calorie content of this food helps to prevent overweight in animals with a tendency to overweight.


• Urinary dilution reduces the concentration of struvite and calcium oxalate in the urine.


• The increase in urinary volume also favors regular emptying of the bladder.


• Urinary undersaturation creates unfavorable conditions for the development of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

• Rice, corn flour, dehydrated poultry meat, vegetable fibres, corn gluten, animal fat, hydrolysed animal proteins, chicory pulp, wheat gluten, dehydrated egg, soy oil, fish oil, fructo-oligasaccharides (FOS ), marigold extract (source of lutein).

Royal Canin Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie UMC 20 is indicated for: bacterial cystitis, dissolution of struvite uroliths, struvite urolithiasis and calcium oxalate.

Contraindications: pregnancy, lactation, growth, chronic renal failure, pancreatitis, hyperlipidemia, heart disease, treatment with urine acidifiers.

Period of administration: 5 to 12 weeks of nutritional therapy are required to obtain the dissolution of urinary stones.

In case of urinary tract infection, Urinary S/O Moderate Calorie should be prescribed, combined with an antibacterial agent, for an additional month after obtaining a negative bacteriological urine analysis.

When the treatment is finished, it is recommended to switch to the Obesity Management or Satiety Support food, if the dog is overweight, or to one of the foods from the Neutered DOG range, if the animal is of ideal weight.
