DESCRIPTION:

• Limiting phosphorus intake is an essential measure to support kidney function in dogs with chronic kidney disease.


• Flavanols (a special category of green tea polyphenols) are characterized by two types of actions: they help to slow down oxidative processes and they improve renal perfusion.


• The synergistic complex of antioxidants (vitamin E, vitamin C, taurine and lutein) limits the degradation of cellular DNA, strengthens immunity and neutralizes free radicals, whose negative effects increase with aging.


• Combination of highly digestible proteins, prebiotics (fructo-oligosaccharides and manno-oligosaccharides), beet pulp, rice and fish oil to promote maximum digestive safety.

• Rice, corn flour, animal fats, corn gluten, soy protein isolate, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, minerals, dehydrated egg, vegetable fibres, fish oil, soy oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, extract green tea (source of polyphenols), marigold extract (source of lutein).

Royal Canin Renal RF 16 is indicated for chronic kidney disease (CKD), prevention of recurrences of urolithiasis that require urinary pH alkalinization, prevention of recurrences of oxalate stones in dogs with reduced kidney function.

Contraindications: pregnancy, lactation, growth, pancreatitis or history of pancreatitis, hyperlipidemia.

Period of administration: Intended for the dietary treatment of chronic kidney disease, including the initial phase of the pathology, it must be prescribed for the entire life of the animal.

Periodic reassessments are recommended.
