DESCRIPTION:

• Highly digestible vegetable proteins (soy protein isolate) are better tolerated by dogs with hepatic encephalopathy.


• Low copper and high zinc content to minimize both copper accumulation in hepatocytes and intracellular damage caused by cholestasis.


• The synergistic complex of antioxidants prevents damage to hepatocytes.


• The high energy concentration, provided by the fat content of the food, prevents excessive protein catabolism, thus limiting the risk or progression of hepatic encephalopathy.

• Rice, corn, animal fats, soy protein isolate, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, minerals, soy oil, vegetable fibres, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, marigold extract (source of lutein) .

Royal Canin Hepatic HF 16 is indicated for: liver disease, chronic hepatitis, portosystemic shunt, hepatic encephalopathy, liver failure, copper metabolism disorders, piroplasmosis.

Contraindications: pregnancy, lactation, growth, pancreatitis or history of pancreatitis, hyperlipidemia.

Administration period: The duration of treatment varies depending on the pathology and the regeneration capacity of the liver tissue.

In case of chronic disease, it may be necessary to feed the animal throughout the life of the animal.

In order to reduce postprandial liver overload, it is recommended to take several small meals up to the recommended daily.
