Renaltan Tonic

With the help of calcium carbonate, which is the phosphate binder contained, excess phosphate is bound in the intestine to form indigestible complexes and excreted directly. In this way, filtration by the already weakened kidneys is noticeably reduced. This reduces the renal load without compromising the cat's protein distribution.

If it is difficult to switch to a renal diet or if the cat does not accept it, the administration of a phosphate binder to its usual food is a suitable alternative for renal failure (RI) therapy. In advanced stages of renal dysfunction, the combination of a phosphate binder and a renal diet is recommended.

When using a phosphate binder, it is recommended that a veterinarian regularly monitor blood values.
