Royal Canin Urinary S/O (7.5 kg)

DESCRIPTION:

• Allows effective dissolution of struvite stones in the dog. Urinary acidification is unfavorable to bacterial development, often responsible for this type of stones.


• Urinary undersaturation creates unfavorable conditions for the development of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.


• Dilution of urine reduces the concentration of struvite crystals and calcium oxalate.


• The increase in urinary volume also favors regular emptying of the bladder.


• It has a reduced content of magnesium since this mineral enters the composition of struvite stones.

• Rice, corn flour, animal fat, dehydrated poultry protein, corn gluten, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals, vegetable fibres, soy oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), marigold extract (source of lutein).

Royal Canin Urinary S/O LP 18 is indicated for: bacterial cystitis, dissolution of struvite stones, prevention of recurrences of struvite and calcium oxalate urolithiasis.

Contraindications: pregnancy, lactation, growth, chronic kidney disease, metabolic acidosis, pancreatitis or history of pancreatitis, hyperlipidemia, heart disease, use of urine acidifying drugs.

Period of administration: 5 to 12 weeks of nutritional therapy are required to obtain the dissolution of urinary stones.

In case of urinary tract infection, Urinary S/O should be prescribed, associated with an antibacterial agent, for an additional month after obtaining a negative bacteriological urine analysis.
