Description:

WeCogni® is a complementary food for dogs and cats composed of Omega 3, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other substances, to help with brain function and vision health in companion animals.

Cognitive dysfunction is one of the pathologies that affects geriatric dogs and cats, resulting in a sequence of degenerative changes in the brain. It is characterized by behavioral changes resulting from a decrease in cognitive capacity and learned behavior.

Due to their high oxygen consumption and exposure to light, retinal cells are especially susceptible to damage induced by oxidative stress which, in turn, can lead to the death of retinal photoreceptors (rods and cones).

Increased care in veterinary medicine has a direct impact on the average life expectancy of dogs and cats. This increase in average life expectancy leads to a higher incidence of pathologies related to geriatrics.

The formation of free oxygen radicals occurs during the course of metabolic processes, whether physiological or pathological. They are highly unstable molecules and, in general, are produced in mitochondria as a natural response to aggressive situations, such as inflammation and light radiation, but they can also result from physiological processes.

Endogenous antioxidant levels tend to decrease with age. When the amount of reactive oxygen species exceeds the capacity of endogenous antioxidant mechanisms, a condition of oxidative stress sets in, responsible for the degradation of cellular components.

Usage advice:

Administer daily according to the dosages indicated in the table or as instructed by your veterinarian. Using the spoon, add the recommended dose of WeCogni® to the animal's food and mix well. Suitable for dogs and cats. Administer WeCogni® for a period of 8 weeks. Maintain access to water.

Animals under 12 kg: 1 spoon per day (3 g)
Animals weighing between 12 and 32 kg: 2 spoons per day (6 g)
Animals over 32 kg: 3 spoons (9 g)
