Ataxxa treats and prevents flea infestations in dogs weighing more than 10kg and up to 25kg. If the dog has fleas, they die within a day of applying the pipette. This treatment prevents future flea infestations for up to 4 weeks.
The veterinary medicinal product has persistent acaricidal efficacy against tick infestations (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus for four weeks, and Dermacentor reticulatus for three weeks).
Ticks already present on the dog may not be killed within two days after treatment and may remain attached and visible. Therefore, it is recommended to remove ticks present on the dog at the time of treatment, in order to prevent them from attaching and feeding on blood.
One treatment provides repellent activity (prevents feeding) against the sandfly Phlebotomus perniciosus for three weeks and against the Aedes aegypti mosquito for 7 to 14 days after treatment.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
- Precautions must be taken to prevent the contents of the pipette from coming into contact with the dog's eyes.
- Do not allow the dog to lick the medication application site.
- Apply only to uninjured skin.
- Avoid exposing the animal to water.
- Consult your veterinarian before applying the medicine to weakened or sick dogs.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Do not apply to puppies less than 7 weeks of age or less than 1.5 kg in weight.
- Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients.
- Do not administer to cats: medication is extremely toxic to cats and can cause death. Keep dogs and cats away after treatment, until the application site is dry.
